Need to know if it’s gonna rain tomorrow?  Want to know whether or not you should wear a jacket when you go out tonight?  Weather.com, operated by The Weather Channel, gives you access to current conditions and detailed forecasts in you local area, or anywhere around the world.  You can get  10-day forecast or see detailed hour-by-hour forecasts for each day.  I use it all the time so check the weather conditions for upcoming events and travel.  They also offer mobile phone and text messaging options.

My Favorite Internet Browser

Tired of hearing about Internet Explorer bugs and viruses?  Want to use a browser that is faster and better?  I recommend Firefox.  I’ve been using it for years, and I’ve never had a problem with it.  It’s fast and easy to use, and it has a lot of great features and add-ins.  You can download Firefox for free by clicking here. Try it and see if you don’t like it better than Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Want to know what movies are showing in your area and what times they’re showing?  I use Moviefone.com whenever I want to check out what’s playing in our area.  They tell you what movie is showing where, along with the times, trailers and reviews.  It’s a great site and I highly recommend it.

Free Firewall Software

Every computer connected to the Internet needs to have firewall software installed.  A firewall protects your computer from outside attacks by hackers and people trying to steal your identity.  The firewall I use is free, and it comes from Sunbelt Software.  It works really well, and I’ve had no problems with it.  Do NOT surf the web without a firewall protecting your computer.  You’ll be sorry if you do.
